It was the second educational trip within the Erasmus + project entitled International Culture And Traditions - Young Explorers On The Start! Students and teachers from our school discovered the beauty of artistic creativity from partner countries, and above all from Romania. On the first day of the visit, even before the representatives of the other partner schools arrived, Polish students paid a visit to the Polish House in Suceava, where they learned about the socio-cultural activity of this Polish centre in Romania, about which Gerwazy Longher, the president of the Union of Poles in Romania, spoke. Each of the participating schools presented the works of their regional artisans. Students from Święcany introduced local artists dealing with handicrafts, embroidery, sculpture, ceramics, painting and poetry. The hosts from Colegiul National de Informatica Spiru Haret invited guests to visit the Fortress and the nearby Open-Air Village Museum in Suceava. The following days of the visit were filled with educational trips to numerous places related to Romanian culture and handicraft. In this way, in one day, the participants visited the Palace in Ruginoasa and the Ethnographic Museum in the Palace of Culture in Iasi, learning the secrets of various crafts, sewing folk costumes, and the origin and meaning of their decorations. The next day, everyone could see live, step by step, how ceramic products are made at Ceramica Marginea. A visit to the local artist Lucia Condrea was also very interesting, for many years she has been creating beautiful Easter eggs and running the world's largest Easter egg museum, where, in addition to her own works, she collected decorated eggs from all over the world. She spoke personally about how she creates her works and explained that they are unique because the pattern on each of them is different and inspired by a different cultural element. The trip was also an opportunity to visit numerous monasteries in that area: Sucevita, Moldovita and Voronet. The hosts also invited the participants of the visit to participate in a craft workshop organized at the Ethnographic Museum in Suceava. Here, all guests could personally decorate ceramic bowls and houses, as well as learn the basics of cross-stitching, which is an element of Romanian folk costumes. Finally, the partners voted for the project logo selected from among those proposed by students from each country. A pleasant surprise awaited us here - the Polish proposal of a student of Zuzanna Mucha was chosen as the logo of the project. The stay in Suceava was a unique opportunity to make new acquaintances and friendships and to continue partnerships with those whose acquaintance has continued since previous joint projects.
